I joined DAV Bistupur, a school in Jharkhand, India, as a teacher on June 14, 2024. However, the initial months were filled with struggles. The ARO and Principal, Mrs. Pragya Singh, exhibited a disrespectful and unprofessional attitude much beyond anyone's expectations. Despite my diligent work and commitment, my salary and welfare were continually neglected. The school administration did not even provide me with a letter of appointment, identification documents, or my rightful salary. My requests for these basic documents were ignored and met with aloof responses and silence from the principal and administration.

A School Run by Nepotism and Egoism

The school management at DAV Bistupur operates on the principles of nepotism and egoism. They are more concerned with maintaining their personal and professional egos and profits, rather than the academic and personal growth of the students. Performance issues of students were ignored, and the focus was on maintaining the status quo and earning a profit. The overbearing and corrupt nature of the principal has resulted in a decline in academic performance and overall reputation of the school.

Irony and Contradictions

The irony is that despite these issues, DAV Bistupur is still seen as an institution where students perform well in national-level examinations such as the IIT-JEE. However, this success is not due to the school's teaching standards but rather due to prerna classes and private coaching provided to students by the teachers themselves.

Worse than a Prison

It is highly advisable for potential teachers and parents to avoid DAV Bistupur. The school is nothing more than a conduit to perpetuate nepotism and profit over the well-being of students and teachers. If you are seeking a secure and professional environment, DAV Bistupur is not the place. One can choose to either seek teaching elsewhere or protect their children from encountering such a toxic educational atmosphere.

The school conditions in DAV Bistupur are a testament to the failure of institutional integrity and ethical standards. It is unfortunate that such a situation exists, especially for teachers and students who are fortunate enough to have other options. Anyone considering joining DAV Bistupur, whether as a teacher or a parent, should think twice before making that decision.
