Life's Journey: From Software Developer to Author - A Phoenix Story

My life has been a fascinating journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. From writing a novel that has just been released to achieving a hassle-free, stress-free life as a retiree, my story is one of transformation and growth.

My Novel: 'On The Edge of The Precipice'

Last year, I released my novel On The Edge of The Precipice on Amazon. This fictional saga is based on my observations and past experiences, narrating the story of an Eastern European family through the tumultuous early 20th century. My novel spans the First and Second World Wars, the birth of Communism, and the reestablishment of the new State of Israel. The story concludes with the family in North America and is a narrative of loss and love. While On The Edge of The Precipice reflects my life, it is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of the human spirit.

An Ideal Life for Retirees

My current life is one of ease and pleasure. It is hassle-free and stress-free, allowing ample time for self-improvement and entertainment. This ideal life for retirees offers a perfect backdrop for a peaceful and fulfilling existence. If I choose to garden, I have a plot ready for my hands and time. However, I find myself dallying, goofing, and dawdling most of the time. If I want to savor the delight of my paintings, a glance at my wall suffices. In one sentence, I thank all the gods in heaven for this time of my life, acknowledging the cherished moments that define my present.

Exploring Life and Finding Simplicity

The more I explore life, the simpler it appears. Early in life, I viewed life as a hard taskmaster, believing I would be punished if I did not perform well. However, as time passed, I realized I was doing my best, and it is alright to not be okay sometimes. No matter the challenges, I have risen from the ashes like a phoenix, evolving and growing through each experience.

I was born in 1959 and graduated from high school at the top of the class. I worked my way through college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I worked as a software developer and architect at Boeing and the Port of Seattle before changing careers to pursue writing, poetry, and photography. I am happily married and currently live in Florida, where I travel frequently and golf. My ongoing literary pursuits continue to enrich my life and legacy.
