Consciousness and Existence: Understanding Our Inner Journey Without Soul
Our existence on Earth is often intertwined with the concept of a soul or self. However, if we do not possess a soul, as is widely believed, then how do we experience the world around us? This essay seeks to explore the idea of consciousness as our primary source of self-awareness and experience.
The Role of Consciousness in Our Experience
Belief in souls is not integral to the understanding of our experiences. Instead, consciousness is the embodiment of our sense of self. Through a complex interaction between our brains and consciousness, we are able to think, feel, and experience the world. This consciousness requires a brain to function, without which, these experiences would be non-existent.
The Role of Spirits in Human Affairs
God does not directly interfere in the affairs of individuals. Instead, the guidance and workings are carried out by spirits. These spirits were created by God for various specific purposes. They watch, guide, and determine the destinies of humans based on their actions, words, and thoughts.
Freewill and Consequences
God has given all creatures, including humans, the freedom to live as they wish. However, if such choices harm another, they must face the consequences. These consequences are determined by the spirits, which form a natural and unbreakable system. The finality of death ensures that no one exists in any form posthumously. Heaven and hell are realms for spirits, not human beings.
The Inner Life: A Network of Spirits
During our lifetime, a human being is accompanied by a multitude of spirits. These spirits include knowledge, skills, emotions, instincts, and more. Many of these spirits were present since birth and others joined us as we grew older, like the spirits of our parents, friends, and relatives. These spirits form our essence, our conscious and memory bank.
The Role of a Mind
A mind is not solely a product of a human’s individuality. It is a network of spirits that have joined the body over the course of a lifetime. Just as a computer’s mind is a confluence of its hardware and software, a human mind is a confluence of various spirits. After a computer’s destruction, its mind is lost. Similarly, after the passing of a human, all the spirits that comprised their consciousness return to their respective homes, leaving no self in any form.
A brain is a tool utilized by these spirits to control the body and mind. The senior or lead spirit within the network can control other spirits. A human being does not possess a spiritual body, nor do they have a soul in the traditional sense. A soul is merely a mere energy required for the functionality of the body. The body's operations are based on automatic mechanisms, which continue even after death, without spiritual residue.
Conclusion
From a spiritual perspective, the existence of consciousness without a traditional soul encapsulates the essence of human experience. It reminds us of the intricate relationship between the physical and the non-physical, reinforcing the idea that our true essence lies in our interactions and the experiences we share throughout our lives.
